Fiveai Cambridge HEADQUARTERS

For their new 3100 square foot office refurbishment in Cambridge, dynamic software company Five AI approached Lomax & Chi to redesign the space inline with the industrial feel of their head office in Bristol. Optimising space and making best use of tricky mezzanine areas were key considerations, and we were ultimately able to accommodate desk space for 28, a reception area, a large communal kitchen with seating for twelve, WC’s and a shower room as well as two private meeting rooms with a communal breakout area for video conferencing and staff down time. 

Half way through the project, Five AI acquired an additional floor within the building to make room for their rapidly expanding team. We were able to take on the additional 2200 square footage, and worked it into our existing scheme so that despite the works being completed in two separate phases, all areas worked coherently for a cohesive flow throughout the building. Furthermore, we were able to create space for an additional 26 desks, a glazed board room for twelve, a large entrance reception area, a separate kitchen diner as well as server, printer and storage areas.
