Headland Hotel, Cornwall

An ongoing project with the iconic Headland hotel and spa in Cornwall, Lomax & Chi have been appointed to carry out the interior design for all their newly renovated ocean view suites. The Headland has been presiding in its dramatic location on the cliff tops overlooking Newquay’s Fistral Beach since 1897, and while the brief required sensitivity to its historic significance, we were also encouraged to gently modernise by introducing contemporary touches that still felt suitably luxurious. 

We began by creating a colour palette inspired by the natural hues found in the surrounding landscape, and then balanced a mix of traditional heritage prints and antique furniture with more contemporary pops of bright colour and modern pieces. While each space has been designed to have its own unique character, they all unanimously offer a warming welcome to guests.
